This kit is ideal for evaluating low current and high voltage isolation applications. The sensitivity depends on the number of turns of magnet wire on the bobbin (approx 30mV/amp-turn).

This kit is useful in evaluating the sensing of low currents on PCB’s. The kit has a CSA on top and another one directly under it on the other side of the board. The differential output is measured between the two IC’s. Common mode magnetic fields are cancelled out.

AN128CSA-1V Application Engineering Kit - AN_122KIT
   Mid current range - 0 to 15 amps RMS

The AN_122KIT provides an easy method of evaluating the Sentron CSA-1VG current sensor in a PCB layout configuration that greatly improves the signal to noise ratio for a medium current range measurement. This arrangement will produce a nominal sensitivity of 65mV/A for a linear output to ±30A of primary current. The maximum continuous capability for this layout is 15A rms, but the PCB can handle short peak current up to ±35A.

AN126CSA-1V Application Engineering Kit - AN_126KIT

The AN_126KIT provides an easy method of evaluating the Sentron CSA-1VG current sensor in a PCB layout configuration that utilizes top and bottom PCB traces for medium current range measurement. This arrangement will produce a nominal sensitivity of 35mV/A thereby generating a full scale output at ±60A of primary current. The maximum continuous capability for this layout is 20A rms, but the PCB can handle short term higher currents up to the ±60A peak.

AN117CSA-1V Application Engineering Kit - AN_124KIT

This kit provides a easy method of evaluating the Sentron CSA-1VG current sensor IC in a configuration that provides a high dielectric voltage isolation between the primary conductor and the sensor circuitry that may be required for UL applications. The sensor measures the magnetic field created by the current flowing in the conductor and converts it to a voltage proportional to the current. The primary current conductor is on the back side of the PCB and there is a SMD ferrite chip mounted over the conductor to increase the sensitivity and increase immunity to stray magnetic fields. The Sensitivity is 35mV/A with a 20A continuous rating. The kit can respond to short, high current pulses (<25mS) up to 75A.

AN119CSA-1V Application Engineering Kit - AN_119KIT

This kit is ideal for sensing currents in wires. The sensitivity is dependant on the diameter of the wire and thickness of the insulation. Any wire size can be used in this application. Sensitivity can be increased by making a wrap around the sensor.

The AN_119BKIT provides a easy method of evaluating the Sentron CSA-1VG current sensor IC in a configuration that can be strapped to conductors for medium to high current range measurements. The sensor measures the magnetic field created by the current flowing in the conductor and converts it to a voltage proportional to the current. The current measurement is sensitive to the position of the wire with respect to the conductor, therefore this kit configuration provides for two tie wraps to secure the wire to the PCB in a stable and consistent position. There are two sets of slots in the PCB to accommodate various conductor sizes.

AN121CSA-1V Application Engineering Kit - AN_121KIT
   Very High Current in Bus Bar and Flat conductors
   Bi-directional

This kit is useful in sensing currents in bus bars and flat conductors. Sensitivity depends on the width and thickness of the conductor. Increasing the width and thickness decreases the sensitivity. Currents in the range of 100’s of amps to thousands of amps can be sensed. By installing two kits, one each side of the bus bar and taking the differential output from the two kits, the effect of background fields is reduced.

AN106CSA-1V Application Engineering Kit - AN_106-AC KIT
    and AN_106K-DC KIT

The AN_106 is a development kit that provides a reference design using the CSA-1VG-SO IC and a scaling amplifier that will measure AC and DC currents from 0 to 20A continuous. This reference design provides a high dielectric voltage isolation between the primary conductor and the sensor circuitry that may be required for applications requiring UL approval. The CSA-1VG IC measures the magnetic field created by the current flowing in the conductor and converts it to a voltage proportional to the current.
