AKM (Asahi) Hall Switch ICs, Detects a magnetic field and outputs a digital signal.

Unipolar Switch, On/off is switched depending on the intensity of the magnetic field of the S-pole of the magnet. This type is primarily used for position detection of a magnet.
Omnipolar Switch, On/off is switched depending on the intensity of the magnetic field in S-pole or N-pole of the magnet. This type is primarily used for position detection of a magnet.(It is not dependent on the direction of the magnetic pole.)
Bipolar Latch, On/off is switched when the magnetic fields at the N-pole and the S-pole are applied alternately. This type is primarily used to detect revolution speed.
