AKM Semiconductor Magnetoresistive Element, MS

The AKM (Asahi) MS series semiconductor magnetoresistive elements can detect the rotation of a gear (magnetic material) with a high accuracy when combined with a bias magnet. The two parts offer two different functional capabilities. The MS-00200, 0040, 0080 provides A/B phase detection with three different pitches. The MS-P042, P043, P082 provides detection of phases A/B and phase Z and is offered with three different pitches. Both can realize a high accuracy of angle detection using electrical interpolation because of the shape of output voltage wave close to the ideal sinusoidal wave. The MS-00200, 0040, 0080 is available in a SON package. The MS-P042, P043, P082 is available in a DIP package.
