AN_133KIT EM-3242 Non-Contact Angle Sensor without “In Range” Detection
This kit is useful for evaluation the AKM EM-3242 angle sensor in non-contact angle position sensing applications.The sensor works well with smaller magnets, but with less air gap. See Reference Design
RD101_EM3242 for details. The kit contains a small 0.25” square assembled priUnted circuit board with a EM-3242 soldered onto the PCB and a flat
ribbon cable. Also included is a SmCo24 0.25” diameter round magnet and a 0.25 square magnet that have been magnetized across
their diameter.

AN_134KIT EM-3242 Non-Contact Angle Sensor with “In Range” Detection
This kit is useful for evaluation the AKM EM-3242 angle sensor in non-contact angle position sensing applications with "in range" detection. The Sensor incorporates an “Out of Range” detector circuit and will fault the output to zero volts when the magnet’s strength is either too weak or too strong, see
Reference Design RD102_EM3242 for details. The kit contains a small 0.25” square assembled priUnted circuit board with a EM-3242 soldered onto the PCB and a flat
ribbon cable. Also included is a SmCo24 0.25” diameter round magnet and a 0.25 square magnet that have been magnetized across

Permanent Magnet for Angle Sensing - 55B0081
A 3.81mm diameter x 3.81mm SmCo permanent magnet that is polarized
across its' diameter rather than axially. Compatible with
the EM-3242 and may be mounted into the M250-1.0 Magnet
Holder (shaft).

across its' width rather than depth. Compatible with
the EM-3242.

Magnet Holder and Magnet for Angle Sensing - M250-1.0
The M250-1.0 is an aluminum holder with a 6.35mm diameter
shaft that is 25.4mm long. It comes with a 55B0082 permanent
magnet epoxied into one end of the shaft.

Magnet Holder and Magnet for Angle Sensing - M250SQ-1.0
The M250SQ-1.0 is an aluminum holder with a 6.35mm diameter
shaft that is 25.4mm long. It comes with a 55C0126 permanent
magnet epoxied into one end of the shaft.
