Calibration Lab Manager
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include management of the GMW Calibration and Repair Laboratory.
Responsible for Calibration, Repair, Test, and Qualification of GMW Instruments, Transducers and Sensors.
Responsible for management of records (including, but not limited to incoming inspection, calibration and repair logs and RMA scheduling) for current and magnetic field measurement instrumentation, including customer equipment returned periodically, GMW in-house test equipment, and tooling maintenance.
Customer support to include troubleshooting via phone support as well as advising on faults and options with product sent to GMW for calibration or repair. Lab has one technician reporting, and routine RMA requests handled by administrative assistant. Significant interactions with manufacturer for service support and product training.
Supervision of a Calibration Technician.
Some travel (estimated at 10%) to customers (for service calls) and vendors (for product training) required.
Experience and Qualifications
An understanding of basic electrical concepts is essential, demonstrated by degree courses in physics or electrical engineering, or equivalent experience.
Must be familiar with instrumentation for measurement of electric current and voltage.
Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel required. Familiarity with Access or equivalent database and SQL queries desirable. ISO-9001 Quality requirements and experience in an electrical instrument calibration position required.
Excellent spoken and written English. Fluency in Chinese valuable.
Salary and Benefits:
Benefits include 401(k), Profit Sharing, Full Medical and Dental for employee and family. Anticipated Salary: $75k to $100k/year depending on capability, experience and qualifications.
